Dr. Nancy's path to veterinary medicine began in the seventh grade with a Black Lab named Lucky. Navigating Lucky's cancer diagnosis was her first real experience caring for a sick furbaby, teaching her a lesson that still guides her today: exceptional medicine isn't just about treating the animal — it's about supporting the entire family through every stage of life, from playful puppyhood to the gentle senior years.
After completing her veterinary degree in Taiwan, Dr. Nancy moved to the U.S. in 2014 to earn a Master's in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis. She then completed a rigorous year of clinical training at the University of Missouri before returning to California to launch her career. Driven by a desire to provide honest, transparent, and truly compassionate care, she founded Alliance Veterinary Hospital to create a practice where furbaby parents feel heard and supported as true partners in their furbaby's health.
In the clinic, Dr. Nancy has a natural affinity for surgical and dental care. She loves the precision, detail, and immediate problem-solving that surgery demands, as well as the ability to directly improve a patient's quality of life. Whether performing routine procedures, advanced soft-tissue surgeries, or complex dental care, she continuously pursues advanced surgical training and workshops to offer the highest standard of care while keeping treatments accessible and focused on animal welfare.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Nancy lives in a full house with her family, including two energetic toddlers (ages 5 and 2) and a chatterbox 17-year-old cat who insists on having the final say in every family discussion. Having cared for 11 furbabies over her lifetime — at one point managing a home with four senior furbabies over 14 — she jokingly considers her home a premier furbaby retirement apartment.
